ABOUT
2$ON The Prince is a multi-talented artist based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His art is a combination of creative mediums that range from Hip-Hop to visual arts. In his series of work titled Stories of resilience (SOR)2$ON captures the stories of everyday people facing challenges and overcoming them through the power of community and resilience. His new collection of work under the project is a creative writing series that focuses on the power of telling stories with imaginary themes.

STATEMENT
This series of work is in collaboration with Avondale and Alton park teenagers who’ve shared their time and creativity in private writing sessions. In 2$ON’s current exhibition he displays their stories by creating individual prints that blend cryptic writing and abstract visuals to tell a story of unity. 2$ON’s display of house phones serve as a relatable and symbolic connection to the conversations that are used for the writing prompts. The sculpture in collaboration with Zachary Reynolds’s and Bill Johnson is an audio piece that shares a conversation between 2$ON and Zachary Reynolds’s. They discuss their experiences while preparing for the release of this exhibit. The documentary piece in connection with the sculpture highlights the experience between them and gives a glimpse into the process that took place in building the sculpture. All the work shown in the space and created in workshops will continue the series and later be transferred into book form.
